NviroTek Labs, an independent agricultural laboratory, was established in August 2008 in the North West Province. Although initially an initiative of Suidwes (via Terratek) and another precision farming group, the laboratory operates currently as an independent company. All analytical services (analysis of soil, water, fertilizer, lime, animal feed, compost, including growing medium and plants) are offered to the farming sector in Southern Africa. Samples are transported to the laboratory via a courier.
NviroTek remains in line with international standards and technology development through affiliations with laboratories in the US and Australia. Every year over 150 000 samples are handled and NviroTek, according to international norms, is classified as a Mega Laboratory.
The company comprises a team of highly experienced staff members who have proven experience in agricultural laboratory techniques and understand the requirements of the different sectors of the industry. The set of analysis done is regularly expanded to meet the changing needs of customers. NviroTek also acquired the exclusive license from Agvita Australia to offer specialist analysis on a wide variety of crops.
Farmers, agents, advisors and agricultural companies use laboratory results in their decision-making on:

NviroTek also participated in the International CTS- scheme for analysis of soils by the Mehlich extract; to monitor quality of results. NWET (Embedded Network Technologies) is an information technology company that provides and manages a wide area network for data communication. NWET also supplies hardware and software to customers. This service includes installation and maintenance.
NWET offers, inter alia, servers, central processors, e-mail systems and data communication systems. NWET’s business solutions and wireless communication systems are supplied to the Suidwes Group and other clients such as businesses and farming operations. NWET’s helpline is operational for 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Suidwes Brokerage focuses on price risk management and trading on the JSE Futures Exchange for customers.
